An Ontario County man has been emotional with a felony and a transgression since of a extended-term gasoline escape at a Canandaigua repair position he owns.
J. Thomas Schaeffer II, 57, of 3469 Route 488, Clifton spring, has been emotional with the felony, third-degree endanger public health, security or the surroundings, and the misdemeanor, breakdown to keep every day record records connecting to a mass fuel storage space facility, according to state Department of Conservation officials. The charges stem from the loss of more than 1,200 gallons of gas at Tom’s Mobil Station, 267 S. Main St., Canandaigua. The gas station is blocked plus the spill is being clean up, said DEC Police Capt. Michael Van Durme.
Schaeffer was arraign Tuesday in Canandaigua City Court. He plead not responsible and is free on his own recognizance, but he did not have a lawyer with him. His next court manifestation is scheduled for these days through a legal representative.
